More than 50 persons living with disability in teso have benefited from free quality treatment that was offered to them by a number a non profit organization called Action of love international that has for long been operating around teso sub region.
The 50 are beneficiaries from the organization that were sighted from different parts of the regions who for long have been suffering in silence and got health care from one of the renowned and best health facilities around the country called Bethesda based in Soroti city through the support from PBF.
According to Dr. Okilan Kenneth, a medical doctor at the facility,many of the cases they have been handled are mainly of those who have suffered from, severe malaria, multi nutrition, UTI, tinea Captitis, anemia, sickle cells among other diseases.
Meanwhile, Jefferson Kandi, the executive director of the organization, has managed to get free treatment for more than 50 beneficiaries from the start of the year and continues to receive more cases of the sick beneficiaries that are also catered to by the health experts.
He further appreciated the donors for the great support and the caretakers of the sick beneficiaries for showing love and care to their beloved ones as it also restores back hope to them.
Beatrice Akello, caretaker of one of the beneficiaries whose child has been battling sickle cell appreciates the organization for the great support as it has been able to save their family since the child has often fallen sick and they were not able to offer such treatment.
Margaret Adeke, a mother of one of the disabled children who is a beneficiary from the organization and comes from Serere district couldn’t hide her joy after her son got treatment from one of the best facilities at a free cost.
”This is so great, i never thought of it happening,most times we would move to the health center which at times had no medicine but today, being here alone has restored hope to me that the boy will be getting the best treatment.
