Dear friends, greetings from the AoLI family.
As we are in this total lockdown in Uganda, the life of our orphaned children is getting worse every day. The photos herein are for our beneficiaries that had the opportunity to get an artificial hand and an artificial leg thanks to the support of our friends in Japan.
Today, they contacted us due to the starvation they are going through with their little ones whom their late parents left them with… They currently dont have what to eat and they can’t access any health centre for the treatment of their two little sisters who are ill. We pray for God’s intervention and healing in our community.
We work with different vulnerable poor groups of people in rural families and what affects us most is transport. We don’t have our own means of transport for picking these disabled children and even we lack free health centers that can meet the needs of the poor.
It is now worst during this lockdown. In a day, we received more than 50 calls from different people seeking for food and basic essentials… but we really can’t do much because we also depend on donations to be able to support these beneficiaries.
As per now we have registered over 900 beneficiaries who are doing very bad, who can not even afford a single meal during this total lockdown in Uganda.
